About the Role:
Our agency is seeking an enthusiastic and resilient PE Teacher to join an Alternative Provision on a fixed-term contract. This role is perfect for an experienced PE Teacher who is passionate about making a positive impact on students who may have experienced challenges in mainstream education. You will play a key role in promoting physical activity and well-being, helping students to develop not just physically but also socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
•Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to students in an Alternative Provision setting
•Use creative and adaptable teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
•Foster a positive and supportive environment to help students build self-esteem and confidence
•Encourage physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle through a variety of sports and activities
•Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to the wider school community
Requirements:
•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
•Experience working with students in an Alternative Provision, SEN, or similar environment
•Strong classroom management skills and a proactive, empathetic approach
•Passion for physical education and improving student well-being
•The ability to build rapport with students who may have complex needs
