Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher

Location: Chelmsford, Essex

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time

Salary: £140-£250 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:

A reputable secondary school near Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to the school’s thriving D&T department and inspire students in subjects such as product design, graphics, and resistant materials. The position is full-time and expected to last until the end of the current term, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in Design & Technology subjects.
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to students on their progress.
  • Support the school in extracurricular activities related to D&T, if required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism in Design & Technology, with experience teaching at secondary level.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Immediate availability.
