Are you currently completing your teacher training and looking for your first permanent role from September 2025?

Local Education is proud to be supporting a welcoming and forward-thinking school in Basildon, Essex, seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team. The school offers an excellent ECT induction programme and a nurturing environment to help you thrive.

The Role:

• Deliver creative, engaging, and inclusive lessons in line with curriculum expectations

• Work closely with experienced mentors and staff as part of a structured induction programme

• Support pupils’ academic and personal development through positive classroom practices

• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting your approach to meet individual needs

• Contribute to school life, clubs, and events beyond the classroom

What We’re Looking For:

• Trainee teacher completing PGCE, SCITT or equivalent by July 2025

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements

• A passion for teaching and a desire to make a positive impact on young people

• Good behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

• Willingness to learn, grow and work collaboratively with colleagues
