Local Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Uttlesford, Essex, in their search for a passionate and skilled Art & Photography Teacher to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis starting in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT with a strong creative background to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be joining a supportive department with a shared commitment to delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons in a well-resourced setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Photography to KS3 and KS4 students

Support students in developing creative techniques, visual literacy, and portfolio work

Prepare pupils for GCSE Art & Photography assessments

Foster an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment

Encourage innovation, self-expression, and cultural appreciation

Contribute to extracurricular activities, exhibitions, and enrichment opportunities
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Specialism in Art and/or Photography

Experience teaching in a secondary setting (ECTs welcome to apply)

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the visual arts

Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
