As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged with pre-prepared work. This role does not require you to plan lessons or mark work but does demand excellent behaviour management, communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects to secondary-aged pupils.

• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, positive learning environment.

• Follow school policies and report back to teaching staff as needed.

• Provide general support to pupils, encouraging focus and participation.

Ideal Candidate

• Confident, adaptable, and able to manage groups of young people.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Previous experience working with children or young people (youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, etc.) is desirable but not essential.

• A genuine interest in education and supporting pupils’ development.
