Experienced Geography & Social Sciences Teacher – Available Immediately

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Stanford-le-Hope. The ideal candidate will have QTS (or equivalent) and a strong background in teaching KS3, KS4, and A-Level Geography.

About yourself:

📚 Experienced across Geography, Sociology and Philosophy
🏫 Extensive experience in UK secondary schools or colleges (KS3, KS4 & A-Level)
🔍 Evidence-led, hands-on teaching approach with a passion for developing critical thinking
🧑‍🏫 Excellent classroom management skills, engaging diverse student groups

Key Responsibilities:

🌍 Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Geography lessons at KS3, KS4 & A-Level
🗺️ Teach key topics such as physical & human geography, sustainability, and global development
📊 Use data-driven teaching methods to track and improve student progress
🏫 Organise field trips and practical learning experiences to enhance student understanding
✍️ Assess, mark, and provide feedback to support student development
🤝 Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and Geography clubs
🎤 Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level exams, ensuring high achievement
