Job Title: Humanities Teacher (Specialism in History or Religious Studies)

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Basildon, Essex

Salary: Dependent on Pay Scale

 

Are you an enthusiastic and passionate Humanities Teacher with a specialism in History or Religious Studies? Local Education is working with a well-established secondary school in Basildon, Essex, looking for a dedicated educator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History and/or Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).

• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their academic potential.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment.

• Uphold school policies and contribute to extra-curricular activities where possible.

 

Key Requirements:

 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• A specialism in History or Religious Studies is highly desirable.

• Previous experience teaching in a secondary school environment.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

• A commitment to professional development and willingness to engage in the wider school community.
