Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated English teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Southend-on-Sea for an English Teacher to join their team from January 2025. This long-term or permanent placement offers the chance to inspire and engage students in a supportive and dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

•Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.

•Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

•Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

•Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring high educational standards and encouraging a love of literature and language.

•Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and contribute to the wider school community.

 

Requirements:

 

•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

•Proven experience teaching English at secondary level (Key Stages 3 and 4).

•Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.

•Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

•Commitment to supporting student development and academic progress.
