Art & Photography Teacher – Inspire Creativity in Maldon!
Local Education is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Maldon, Essex, for a dedicated Art & Photography Teacher. This permanent, full-time role begins in September 2025 and offers an excellent opportunity to teach in a creative and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking department that values innovation and artistic exploration, with the chance to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Art and Photography lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

Prepare students for GCSE exams, promoting technical skill and creative thinking

Foster a love of the arts in a supportive, inclusive classroom setting

Organise and support exhibitions, workshops, and creative extracurricular activities

Collaborate with the department to develop curriculum resources and projects

Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching accordingly
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent – ECTs welcome to apply

Strong subject knowledge in Art and Photography

A passion for creative education and student engagement

Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills

A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
