Local Education is working closely with a friendly and well-respected primary school in Chelmsford, Essex, to recruit a passionate and dedicated KS2 Teacher for a full-time, permanent role, starting in September 2025.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering a broad and engaging curriculum, supporting the development of confident and curious learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum

  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress, ensuring all children reach their potential

  • Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community

  • Engage with parents and carers to support pupil development

  • Uphold the school’s values and promote positive behaviour

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply

  • Recent or relevant experience teaching in KS2

  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills

  • A nurturing, enthusiastic, and child-focused approach

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
