Local Education is working closely with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in East London to appoint an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English Language and Literature to students across Key Stages 3 and 4

Deliver creative, engaging, and challenging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs

Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and enrichment opportunities

Track and support student progress, offering targeted intervention where necessary

Promote a love of reading and writing within the school community

Collaborate with a supportive team of English specialists
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent – ECTs are encouraged to apply

Strong subject knowledge and passion for English

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all students

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
