About the Role:
• Position: English Teacher
• Location: Southend, Essex
• Start Date: As soon as possible

The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for English Language and Literature. You will be joining a supportive team dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to different learning abilities.
• Teach and assess students in Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring they make progress towards their target grades.
• Mark and provide constructive feedback on students’ work to support their learning.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with SEND.
• Promote a positive classroom environment where students feel motivated and inspired.
• Monitor and track student progress, identifying any areas for improvement.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations, supporting them to achieve their best potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
• Uphold the school’s behaviour policy and promote a positive learning culture.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
• Have experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate students.
