About the Role:
Position: English Teacher
Location: Southend, Essex
Start Date: As soon as possible

The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for English Language and Literature. You will be joining a supportive team dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to different learning abilities.
Teach and assess students in Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring they make progress towards their target grades.
Mark and provide constructive feedback on students’ work to support their learning.
Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with SEND.
Promote a positive classroom environment where students feel motivated and inspired.
Monitor and track student progress, identifying any areas for improvement.
Prepare students for GCSE examinations, supporting them to achieve their best potential.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
Uphold the school’s behaviour policy and promote a positive learning culture.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Have experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate students.
