Local Education is working closely with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Basildon to recruit a passionate and committed English Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and creative English lessons at KS3 and KS4

Support students in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills

Prepare pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations

Foster a love for literature and language in a supportive classroom environment

Monitor student progress and provide targeted intervention where needed

Contribute to departmental planning and extra-curricular literacy initiatives
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

A degree in English or a related subject

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A collaborative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
