Local Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in East London, currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engaging and passionate Geography educator to join a collaborative Humanities faculty and deliver stimulating lessons that help students explore and understand the physical and human world around them. The role involves teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver dynamic and well-structured lessons in Geography across KS3–KS4

Encourage student curiosity, analysis, and global awareness

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

Support school initiatives and extracurricular activities related to Geography and the wider Humanities programme
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent – ECTs are encouraged to apply

Strong subject knowledge in Geography and a passion for the discipline

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Commitment to inclusive teaching and differentiated learning

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
