A-Level Economics Teacher – Colchester

Are you a knowledgeable and passionate Economics Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are working with a high-achieving college in Colchester that is seeking a dedicated teacher to deliver A-Level Economics on a full-time basis.

About the Role:
• Position: A-Level Economics Teacher
• Location: Colchester, Essex
• Contract: Full-time, Permanent
• Start Date: September 2025
• Key Stage: A-Level Economics

This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire post-16 students, helping them develop a deep understanding of economic principles, theories, and real-world applications in preparation for exams and further education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons for A-Level Economics students.
• Incorporate real-world economic trends and case studies to enhance learning and critical thinking.
• Prepare students for A-Level assessments, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
• Assess and provide feedback to monitor progress and support individual student needs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an enriching Economics curriculum.
• Encourage debate and independent thinking, fostering a passion for Economics.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold a degree in Economics or a related subject.
• Have experience teaching A-Level Economics in a school, sixth form college, or similar setting.
• Ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Be passionate about economics education and committed to student success.
• Have excellent classroom management and the ability to engage and challenge learners.
