A supportive school in Basildon is seeking a motivated and skilled educator to join their team on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
• Position: Year 6 Teacher
• Location: Basildon, Essex
• Contract: Full-time
• Start Date: May/June 2025
• Key Stage: KS2 (Year 6)
This is a fantastic chance to guide pupils through their final term of primary education, helping them build confidence and essential skills for their transition to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that align with the KS2 curriculum.
• Encourage and challenge students to achieve their best in SATs assessments.
• Create a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes independence and resilience.
• Monitor student progress, offering targeted support and constructive feedback.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupils’ academic and personal development.
• Inspire a love for learning and prepare students for their next educational stage.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching KS2, preferably in Year 6.
• Be confident with the Year 6 curriculum, SATs preparation, and supporting students’ transition to KS3.
• Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage learners.
• Be a team-oriented professional with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
