Local Education is proud to be working in partnership with a dedicated and inclusive special educational needs (SEN) school in East London, seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis starting in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator who is committed to supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties. You’ll play a vital role in helping each child achieve their personal best in a nurturing and well-resourced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of SEN pupils

Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff

Monitor and assess student progress, using EHCPs and IEPs effectively

Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil development

Contribute to the wider school community and participate in training
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working with children with special educational needs

Excellent understanding of SEN strategies and differentiated teaching

Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
