About the Role:
A reputable secondary school in Southend, Essex, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team starting in January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A-level Maths for a suitably qualified candidate. The role offers a supportive teaching environment where you can inspire students and help them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
•Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
•Tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all students make progress.
•Monitor and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
•Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum.
•Engage with students and parents to support their educational journey.
•Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment in line with the school’s policies.
Requirements:
•Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
•Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting, with a track record of delivering strong results.
•Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching methods to support all learners.
•Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
