English Specialist – Alternative Provision School

We’re supporting a fantastic Alternative Provision (AP) school in Essex that is looking for a dedicated English Teacher to join their team. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students who thrive in a more personalised and supportive learning environment.

About the Role:
• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons to small groups or 1:1
• Supporting students who face barriers to learning in mainstream settings
• Creating a calm, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Working closely with pastoral and SEN staff to support individual needs
• Encouraging progress in literacy and communication through creative and tailored approaches

Ideal Candidate:
• QTS, QTLS, or relevant teaching experience in SEN/alternative settings
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
• A nurturing, resilient, and adaptable teaching style
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students
